What is Forest School?
The meaning of Forest School can be easily googled or ChatGPT online. But for me (Darren) and many of our Forest School Singapore fellowship (Coaches, Parents & Children), it has become more than what Google can explain. Forest School has become our way of learning and living in this universe.
Forest School adapts to the community it exists in. A structural community will present a structural Forest School with focus on activities. A relational community will present an intuitive Forest School with focus on relationships. Even though seemingly different. They are all Forest Schools, just like Nature.
I know not everyone fully comprehends this. And it’s ok. When we are ready the realisation comes to us. Take your time.
What is Forest School Singapore?
Forest School Singapore is a community that practises Forest School that we realised in 2016.
Its main focus is to helps bring people to a space between the Earth and the Stars
- It represents a space of Freedom, Wilderness, Connection and Commitment.
- We pay attention to the signs of Nature & the Universe.
- At the core of our existence is the wisdom that we are all one with Nature.
- We are an evolving community, of the seasons that is bestowed upon the Malayan Archipelago.
- We are brave, courageous and creative in the face of adversity.
- We are a space for Time and Light to exist meaningfully.
